Thank you for this post Daniel. I love this movie and I adore Julie Taymor and her creations and creative ways. She is the one who directed The Lion King for broadway. This is her talk at Ted.com http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/277 love and blessings, Samme
I am glad everyone is enjoying this. This film is the best I have seen in quite some time. The Beatles were geniuses and this movie is further proof of how expansive that creativity continues to be. In addition to that of course is Julie Taymors cutting edge approach in “Across The Universe”. The actors sang all the music live while filming, little overdubbing with that. They really brought out new depths to the Beatles music for the 21st century. Much of the cinema photography is stunning. It's amazing how all of the social statements made for the era of the 60s in this film are still relevant and many are even more pressing than before. This film is a real treasure. Thansk for the TED link!
