In this image released by the Mexican advertising firm of Teran/TBWA on Monday April 7, 2008, an advertisement created for Swedish Absolut Vodka which ran in Mexico, shows a map of the border of Mexico and the United States where it stood before the Mexican-American War of 1848. The Absolut vodka company apologized for the ad campaign amid angry calls for a boycott by U.S. consumers.

Hi Folks. I am guessing it was a shock to some people considering how illiterate so many are in this country about its own history!
well, you don't have to be a MA to see visually that a huge chunk of the country is missing… that has gotta hurt the patriotic spirit eh?
This was grade school and high school history when I grew up in the 60s and 70s. Since then, our educational system has degenerated.
I'm suprised we didn't take Mexico over completely all the way down to Central America.
